These terms govern your use of mysite-name's house moving and relocation services across England. Please read them carefully before booking any services to ensure a clear understanding of our operations, customer responsibilities, and the moving process.

1. Service Agreement

By booking services with mysite-name—whether through our website, telephone, or in-person assessment—you agree to these terms. Our moving services operate in compliance with relevant UK regulations and industry standards for property relocation.

We provide professional moving services through our trained crew across England, addressing various relocation needs from studio flats to family homes.


2. Service Scope and Limitations

Our services include furniture transportation, packing assistance, disassembly/reassembly, and property cleaning. We handle items within our crew's training and capability, using industry-standard equipment and moving techniques.

We reserve the right to decline moving items that pose safety risks, require specialist equipment we don't possess, or involve hazardous materials prohibited from transportation.


3. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure efficient service delivery, customers agree to:

  • Provide clear access to both properties at agreed times
  • Secure pets and remove obstacles before crew arrival
  • Defrost refrigerators and freezers before moving day
  • Identify fragile and high-value items requiring special care
  • Notify us of any parking restrictions or access challenges

Proper preparation helps our moving crew work efficiently and safely during your relocation.


4. Quotation and Pricing Structure

Services begin with a detailed assessment of your moving requirements to provide an accurate quotation. We provide transparent pricing based on property size, distance, services required, and any special handling needs before confirming any booking.

Quotes are based on information provided at time of booking. Significant changes to requirements may result in price adjustments, with customer approval sought before proceeding.


5. Prohibited and Restricted Items

We cannot transport hazardous materials including flammable liquids, gases, chemicals, ammunition, or perishable foods requiring refrigeration. Please make alternative arrangements for these items and inform us during the assessment about any questionable items.

For high-value items like jewellery, important documents, or cash, we recommend personal transportation rather than inclusion in the moving inventory.


6. Property Access and Parking

Customers are responsible for ensuring adequate parking and property access for our vehicles and crew. If parking permits or special arrangements are needed, please coordinate these in advance. Delays due to inadequate parking or access may result in additional charges.

We recommend reserving parking spaces when possible and notifying neighbours about moving vehicle presence.


7. Insurance and Liability Coverage

We maintain public liability insurance and goods in transit coverage. Our crew exercise reasonable care when handling your belongings. Pre-existing damage or fragile items not identified during assessment may have limited coverage.

For particularly valuable items, we recommend discussing additional insurance options during your moving assessment.


8. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Bookings may be cancelled without charge with 48 hours' notice. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may incur a charge based on crew scheduling impact and preparation work completed.

Moving dates may be rescheduled subject to availability and with reasonable notice. Last-minute changes may involve rearrangement fees.


9. Payment Terms

Payment is due as agreed in your service arrangement. We accept various payment methods including bank transfer and card payments. A deposit may be required for moves scheduled more than two weeks in advance, with balance due on moving day completion.

Late payments may result in service suspension until payment is received and may incur administrative charges.


10. Delays and Unforeseen Circumstances

While we strive to meet scheduled timelines, we cannot guarantee specific completion times due to factors beyond our reasonable control including traffic conditions, weather, or unexpected property access issues.

We maintain communication about delays and work to minimise disruption to your moving schedule when unexpected circumstances arise.


11. Damage and Breakage Procedure

In the rare event of accidental damage, we will notify you immediately and document the incident. Our insurance claims process requires prompt notification and documentation to facilitate resolution.

Pre-existing damage should be documented before service commencement to avoid misunderstandings during the claims process.


12. Crew Conduct and Professional Standards

Our moving crew follow established protocols for professional conduct, including respectful treatment of property, careful handling of belongings, and clear communication throughout the moving process.

We maintain the right to remove crew members from assignments if professional standards are not maintained.


13. Storage Services Terms

For storage services, specific terms regarding access, payment schedules, and inventory management will be provided in a separate storage agreement. Standard storage periods and notice requirements for retrieval will be clearly outlined.

Storage fees are typically billed monthly in advance, with specific terms detailed in your storage contract.


14. Complaints and Service Resolution

We aim for complete customer satisfaction with our moving services. If you're not satisfied with any aspect of our service, please notify us within 24 hours of service completion. We will address legitimate concerns promptly through our established resolution process.

Complaints should be directed to our customer service team for proper documentation and timely resolution.


15. Terms Modification

We reserve the right to update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, UK regulations, or industry practices. The current terms are always available on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updates.
